Woodland Police Search For Suspect Who Fled Domestic Violence Call

WOODLAND (CBS13) - Police searched for an ex-felon following a domestic abuse call in Woodland Saturday night.

The suspect is identified as 18-year-old Michael Hernandez. He reportedly took off once officers arrived at the scene. They were able to follow Hernandez and set up a perimeter in one neighborhood but hours later, including a home-to-home search, police were not able to find him.

"We live in this neighborhood and figured, they'd catch this guy and it'll be all over with. Hours later they're still searching for him house to house," said one woman who lives nearby. "It's kind of scary because this is a quiet, quiet part of town."

Police say the victim, a female minor, was found by officers partially clothed. She was taken to a local hospital.

Sunday afternoon, police confirmed that Hernandez had been arrested without incident at a bus stop near the Raley's on West Main Street in Woodland.
