Organ Donation
Nicole Perez, mother to 13-year-old organ and tissue donor, Marina, will put the finishing touches on a floragraph (portrait of her daughter made out of flower seeds), at Sac City College, just before she presents to a "Death and Dying" class at SCC on the life-saving possibilities opened up by donation.
The floragraph of Marina will be seen by millions on the Donate Life Float in the Rose Bowl Parade on New Year's Day. Marina saved four lives through organ donation, restored sight to two with her corneas and improved the lives of countless others through her tissue donation. Her legacy of life lives on.
