Giants' Hunter Pence Proposes To Girlfriend At Disney World
Sorry ladies, the lovable, hairy and energetic Hunter Pence is off the market for good.
The San Francisco Giants outfielder is planning on getting tied down to his longtime girlfriend Alexis Cozombolidis after recently proposing to her on camera at Disney World. The surprise was set up with help from the Disney Parks PR team, who made up a fake interview session on a balcony overlooking the park.
The only prompt was to describe their favorite Disney moment and that's when Pence was given his opportunity.
"On this trip, my best memory I think is right now," he said as he went down on one knee. She said yes and the rest is history.
These types of proposals are usually kind of corny or over-done, but watching these two trying to hold back smiles and tears makes it heart-warming.
Pence, who has lived in San Francisco since being traded from the Philadelphia Phillies back in the summer of 2012, has adjusted nicely with the quirkiness/nerdiness of the Bay Area. Soon after the move, he met Cozomblidis - a former video game journalist for IGN. She now works as a broadcaster for Twitch, an online gamer community.
The two are active on Youtube, as they make hilariously nerdy videos together on her channel. Congratulations to the young couple!
