Tina Fey Talks About New Movie With Amy Poehler, Joining Social Media Only When She Can Show Her Nipples

LOS ANGELES (CBS Sacramento) - Tina Fey and Amy Poehler might be "besties" but will be starring as siblings in their new movie "Sister."

The comedy is about two grown siblings that need to sell their childhood home, but want to throw one last party. We've watched these two thrive on "Saturday Night Live," share hosting duties at the "Golden Globes" and dazzle in movies such as "Mean Girls", "Anchorman 2" and "Baby Mama."

Poehler told Entertainment Tonight, "I think people think we work together a little bit more than we actually have. We don't really act together as much as we'd like, and maybe America wants." Fans love Poehler and Fey so much they made a Instagram account which has nearly 19,000 followers.

Both of them stay away from social media. Fey said, "There's just not enough hours in the day for it really. We both work a lot. And if we have time that we're not working, we want to be with our kids. I'm not going to be curating what my meal looked like for Instagram or something."

Poehler joked and said, "I'm just waiting for it to catch on." She only participates in social media via her organization. Fey added, "I'm just waiting to be able to show my nipples. If I can't show my nipples, I don't want any part of it."

This 20 year friendship started while they were on an improve team at Chicago's Second City. Fey said, "We were both told separately, like, 'This girl, you're gonna like her. You guys are gonna get along,' and I think the fact that we were put together as teammates has really shaped us. I think we really think of ourselves as teammates in every context."

Both Fey and Poehler are excited about their movie which hit theaters the same weekend as "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

You can see "Sisters" in theaters on Dec. 18.
