Sacramento Middle School Teacher Accused Of Lewd Acts With A Student

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A middle school teacher is being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with one of her students.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department says 38-year-old Fair Oaks resident Mysti Moriah Lingenfelter had been under investigation since May. Detectives say the incidents happened back during the 2011-2012 school year.

Lingenfelter was a teacher at Foothill Ranch Middle School when the alleged relationship took place. The Twin Rivers Unified School District put her on administrative leave once they learned of the allegations.

A warrant for Lingenfelter's arrest and she turned herself in to authorities on Tuesday.

She has since posted her $50,000 bail.

Lingenfelter will be arraigned on Dec. 15 and is facing charges of lewd on a child and oral copulation with a person under 16.
