SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Chain controls are in effect for the Sierra this morning, but continue to move higher up in elevation as the storm system moves east.

Expect to see light winds and rain sprinkles in the valley this morning, with a mix of rain and snow in the foothills.

Temperatures are running warmer today than Sunday.

Skies are expected to clear out this afternoon.

In the valley, temperatures are expected to hover in the low 50s all week.

On Tuesday night we could see a storm system move through, bringing light rain.
