Amber Alert Issued After Child Abduction In Antioch

8:30 p.m. Update: CHP has deactivated the alert after the child was found safe in Stockton. The child was left with a friend of the father.

Authorities say they are still searching for the suspect and his car.

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Authorities have issued an Amber Alert due to a reported child abduction out of Antioch.

A 1-year-old child, identified as Ricardo Sanchez, was abducted, according to California Highway Patrol. The suspect is 26-year-old Ricardo Sanchez Gomez.

CHP believes Gomez could be driving a 2011 dark gray Subaru Forester, license plate number 6RTV690.

Gomez should be considered violent and dangerous, CHP says.
