Group Gets Stuck Trying To Cross Rural Nevada County Creek Bed

10:50 p.m. Update: Cal Fire says the four juveniles have been rescued and are being transported to the hospital.

NEVADA COUNTY (CBS13) - Crews are trying to rescue a group of juveniles that are stuck in a creek bed.

The scene is at the Greenhorn Creek Bed at Buckeye Road, about 12 miles east of Grass Valley. Authorities say the group was trying to get across the creek bed when they got stuck.

Steady rain is falling in the area Sunday night.

A Cal Fire official says that crews from multiple agencies are working to get the group to safety. Four juveniles are stuck, Cal Fire says.
