Amgen Tour Of California Returning To Folsom As It Flows From South To North

FOLSOM (CBS13) — For only the second time in Amgen Tour of California history, the race will flow from south to north, going from San Diego to Sacramento.

Along the way, stages will pass through Lodi, Folsom and South Lake Tahoe.

Folsom Mayor Steve Miklos says the community couldn't be more excited.

"Oh it's huge to the community. I mean it's the community profile that brought Amgen in here and I think the fact that we showed when it was here two years ago is why we have it again," he said.

The owner of Karyn's Bakery Cafe and Catering says it's great for her city and local businesses.

"I'm excited to hear where they're going to go in Folsom and I hope the whole rest of the community really embraces it because it's a really amazing international event," she said.
