Same Couple, Same Car, 50 Years Later

ORANGEVALE (CBS13) – Jim and Judy Shephorn celebrated a huge milestone on Saturday: 50 years of marriage.

This was an extra special anniversary because the couple will be driving to Reno to renew their vows in the same 1965 Chevy Impala they drove in to get married back in 1966.

"My dad told me years ago, 'One of these days you'll find the right car, and when you do you'll find the right woman – and all you need is to give them both tender love and care,'" Jim said.

Jim and Judy eloped in Reno back in 1966.

The couple also drove the same Chevy Impala to renew their vows for their 25th wedding anniversary.

Their grandchildren will be following Jim and Judy up the mountain to make a fun weekend out of the celebration.
