1 Person Dead, Another Recovering After Shooting In Patterson

PATTERSON (CBS13) - Authorities are investigating after two people were found shot in Patterson Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened along the 100 block of 1st Street. The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department says deputies were called to the scene at around 4 p.m. and found two gunshot victims.

Both men were transported to the hospital, but one soon succumbed to his injuries. The other man is in stable conditions, the sheriff's department says.

Detectives are still investigating what led to the men being shot.
