Bye-Bye Beast Mode? Seattle Seahawks' Marshawn Lynch Hints At Retirement In Tweet

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch appears to have tweeted his retirement from the National Football League during Super Bowl 50.

Lynch tweeted out a picture of green cleats hanging from a wire with a peace sign emoji on Sunday.

The running back played 7 games for the Seahawks in 2015, running for just 417 yards. In recent years, he became a staple in Seattle's offense as Beast Mode, running for more than 1,200 yards in four consecutive seasons from 2011-14.

His most well-known run came in the 2010 NFC Wild Card game. The 7-9 Seahawks were underdogs as they hosted the New Orleans Saints.

With a 34-30 lead in the fourth quarter, Lynch unleashed a physical, punishing run for a touchdown to put the Seahawks up by two scores.
