Video Captures Roof Collapse At Gas Station In Southern California

TORRANCE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a worker surveying cracks in the canopy of a Los Angeles County gas station suffered minor injuries when the structure collapsed onto cars parked below.

Fire Captain Steve Deuel says two workers were on the roof at the Chevron station in Torrance when the collapse happened Monday.

One worker suffered a minor injury. The second worker was uninjured.

The Los Angeles Times reports vehicles parked next to the gas pumps were trapped. Nobody on the ground was hurt.

The fire department cordoned off the area as the city's department of building and safety investigates.
