Arrest Made In Murder Of Grant High School Student JJ Clavo

SACRAMENTO (CBS13/AP) – A 16-year-old Sacramento boy is under arrest in the death of a popular high school senior who was fatally shot before a football playoff game in November.

Sacramento Police Chief Sam Somers Jr. says Keymontae Lindsey was arrested Thursday in the slaying of Jaulon "J.J." Clavo.

Clavo and four teammates were heading to Grant High School for the game when shots were fired into their car.

Clavo was hit in the neck and later died.. The game was postponed.

Sacramento County District Attorney's spokeswoman Shelly Orio says Lindsey is being charged as an adult. She wouldn't provide the charges until he is arraigned on Monday.

Somers says Lindsey was originally arrested a day after the shooting when officers found him with a loaded weapon. Ballistics tests showed it was used in Clavo's shooting.

More arrests could be coming soon, Somers said.
