California Assemblyman Proposes End To Daylight Saving Time

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A California Assemblyman is calling for an end to Daylight Saving Time in California.

Assembly Bill 2496 would establish Pacific Standard Time as the year-round standard in California, instead of swapping hours twice a year.

The bill was proposed by Assemblyman Kansen Chu (D-Milpitas).

Daylight Saving Time ran from the first Sunday in April until the last Sunday in October until 2007, when it was changed to the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November.

Daylight Saving Time begins on March 13 and ends on Nov. 6.
