Woman Killed After T-Bone Crash In Davis, Driver Arrested

DAVIS (CBS13) – Police say they have arrested driver on suspicion of DUI and child endangerment after a deadly crash in Davis.

The incident happened just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Second Street and Cantrill Drive.

Davis Police say an SUV being driven by 32-year-old Steven Hendrix was traveling westbound and hit a car turning east. Both cars suffered major damage in the crash. The driver of the car, identified as 71-year-old Cynthia Ann Jonasen, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thursday, police revealed that four juveniles were in the SUV with Hendrix at the time of the crash. All the passengers were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Hendrix has been arrested and is facing DUI, vehicular manslaughter and child endangerment charges.
