Sacramento County Motel 6 Locations Ordered To Do More Than Just Leave The Light On
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Motel 6 has agreed to do more than just leave the light on at six locations in Sacramento County.
Authorities say those motels have become a magnet for trouble, as officers responded to more than 5,000 calls in the past two years.

As part of an agreement with the county, Motel 6 will hire armed guards, build fences and keep security lights on. There will also be no visitors allowed after 8 p.m., and guests will have their personal information checked against a national database.
The company will give $750,000 to several local nonprofits for human trafficking, domestic violence and youth intervention.
