Man Charged With Manslaughter After Driving Around Barrier, Into Yuba County Floodwaters

YUBA COUNTY (CBS13) — A man accused of driving his car into eight feet of water is charged with three felony counts of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter in the death of his passenger.

Police say Neng Yang, 55, was driving on Highway 70 near Olivehurst on Saturday night when he drove past a Caltrans blockade and into the water.

A female passenger in the car drowned.

Yang will be back in court on Friday.
