Woman Suffers Major Injuries After Car Hits Pole In Carmichael

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) - Wet roads and being partly blamed for a crash that ended in major injuries in Carmichael.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. Monday in the area of Manzanita Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard. According to a CHP statement, the driver, a 51-year-old Rancho Cordova woman, was driving too fast for conditions when her subcompact vehicle lost traction, hit a curb, and slid sideways into a pole on the driver's side.

The driver was taken to a local hospital to be treated for what the CHP says are major injuries.
