Sacramento Police Searching For Teenage Attempted Murder Suspect

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police in Sacramento are searching for a teenager accused of trying to kill someone with his vehicle.

On February 29 shortly before 5 a.m., two males were walking along Meadowview Drive in Sacramento when 17-year-old male Jordan Ford and several others pulled up in a vehicle and reportedly flashed their guns at the two.

The incident led to an argument, a fight, and shots being fired. The victim, who was one of the two that was walking, was hit several times. Ford's friends ran off, but he got back into the vehicle and allegedly tried to hit the victim, according to a Sacramento Police Department statement.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers are now accusing Ford of attempted murder. They say he should be considered armed and dangerous. If you know of his whereabouts, you are asked to call police right away.

The Sacramento Police Department encourages any witnesses with information regarding this assault or the whereabouts of Ford to contact the dispatch center at (916) 264-5471, Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or submit an anonymous tip using the free "P3 Tips" smartphone app. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
