Police Investigate Shooting Of Couple In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police are investigating after two people were found dead of gunshot wounds on Friday night.

Just before 11:30 p.m, police responded to the 3100 block of 38th Avenue regarding the call of a welfare check of a female living at this address.  Family members were concerned about the female after not hearing from her for a day.
When officers arrived on scene, they entered the residence and located a deceased male adult with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.  Officers also located a deceased female adult with a gunshot wound to the head.

Homicide detectives, along with crime scene investigators, were called to the scene to begin their investigation.

Detectives canvassed the area for evidence and contacted family members.  The coroner investigator responded to the scene to complete their investigation.  The identity of both deceased subjects will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner's office.
