Health Officials Investigate Possible Measles Exposure At Stockton Restaurant

STOCKTON (CBS13) - Health officials say people who ate at a Stockton restaurant last week may have been exposed to measles.

San Joaquin County Public Health Services says a person infected with measles ate at the Royal Indian Cuisine restaurant at 7610 Pacific Avenue on March 22. Health officials would like to talk to anyone who ate at the restaurant between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. that day.

The person infected with measles was from another county, health officials say.

Wednesday, Amador County Public Health officials sent out a notice looking for people who ate at a Strings Italian Cafe in Jackson. Again, a person who tested positive for measles who ate at the restaurant prompted the alert.

A case of measles shut down a Nevada County elementary school on Tuesday.

Anyone who may have visited the Stockton restaurant is asked to call San Joaquin County Public Health Services immediately at (209) 468-3822.
