Police: Man Arrested In Vacaville With More Than 100 Fraudulent Credit Cards
VACAVILLE (CBS13) – Police say a man arrested at the Vacaville Factory Outlets had a large stash of fraudulent credit cards.
The incident happened early Monday afternoon. Vacaville police say they were called to the outlets after a man reportedly tried to use a fraudulent credit card to buy $600 worth of gift cards.
Officers were able to catch the suspect, 24-year-old San Francisco resident Jordan Knighten, in the parking lot.
Knighten allegedly led officers on a short chase, but he was soon arrested next to a reportedly stolen vehicle he tried to leave in.
Officers say they found a bunch of items that were believed to have been bought with fraudulent credit cards. The biggest find, however, was the stash of 111 credits cards also found in Knighten's possession.
The credit cards were all in various names, leading police to believe all are fraudulent.
Knighten has been arrested and booked at Solano County Jail. He is facing numerous charges, including burglary, identity theft, forgery, resisting arrest and three counts of probation violations from three other counties.
