Yuba County Deputies Searching For Shooting Suspects Who Left Victim For Dead

YUBA COUNTY - It's a rugged road on the outskirts of Marysville between several hundred acres of farm land that became the center of a crime scene.

"Just regular old farm stuff you know tractors and stuff," said James Anderson who works at a ranch near Kimball Lane. "I don't see shootings that's pretty crazy."

Just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, deputies said a passerby saw a man who was shot walking alone on Kimball Lane.

Deputies found the injured man, but no suspects. Who knows what could've happened out there on the rural road.

"That's a good couple of miles. If you were shot you will not make it to the city. You'll probably die before then, that's a long way," Anderson said.

Emergency crews rushed the victim to the hospital and investigators were able to ask some key questions.

"We are still obtaining further information. There was mention of a white vehicle involved that our local agencies are looking for. We have possible suspect names that we're looking for," said Deputy Sheriff Neal Houston of Yuba County.

Leaving the community looking for answers. Who shot this man and why.

Deputies are looking for 2 to 3 persons of interest, possibly driving a white car.

We are also told the victim is expected to be OK.
