Driver In Fatal Highway 12 Crash Had 3 License Suspensions
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The Northern California woman driving a car that crashed and killed five people over the weekend was driving on a suspended license -- her third suspension since May 2014.
The Sacramento Bee reports that 21-year-old Annalicia Mona Montoya's license was suspended because of a collision in December. Montoya and four others were killed and four more were injured in a crash Saturday on Highway 12 near Rio Vista.
At the time of her death Montoya was facing felony drunken driving charges and cruelty to a child stemming from a Sept. 12 crash. She had previously had her license suspended in October 2015 for excessive blood alcohol content and in May 2014, stemming from her failure to appear in court on a traffic case.
