Police Investigating Shooting In North Sacramento
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A shooting in the Natomas area temporarily placed a nearby school on lockdown Monday morning.
The scene is along the 2800 block of Tourbrook Way.
Sacramento police say they responded to the scene just after 10 a.m. after reports of a shooting. At a home, they found one person had been shot.
That person has been taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
A perimeter was set up in the neighborhood as officers searched for the suspect. Merryhill Preschool, which is near the scene, was placed on precautionary lockdown for a short time.
No suspect has been caught as of late Monday morning.
Investigators do not believe the incident was a random act and are looking into the possibility it's drug related.
