Suspect In Stockton, Sacramento Stabbings To Make First Court Appearance
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A 25-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing two people on the same morning in Stockton and Sacramento will face a judge on Monday.
Thursday's incidents started early in the morning at a home on Turtle Valley Circle in Stockton. That's where Richard Robinson's grandfather was found dead.
Later that morning, a homeless man was found stabbed to death in a Denny's parking lot on Howe Avenue.
Robinson spoke to reporters while in custody at Sacramento County Jail on Friday.
"[I] just walked around, seen the guy sitting there. He was drinking a beer [and I] kind of got the idea to stab him," Robinson said. "[I] just walked around Denny's, grabbed my things, went to the restroom, washed my hands."
Robinson says he felt "euphoric" after the double homicide.
Robinson admits to using meth and marijuana in the days leading up to Thursday's brutal attack. He says he was diagnosed with schizophrenia four years ago but never took any medication.
