Citrus Heights Family Displaced After Fire Tears Through Attic

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – Two adults and two children are without a home after an early morning fire.

It happened on Saint Philomena Way off Fair Oaks Boulevard. Smoke alarms woke the residents up around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday and they were able to evacuate safely.

Sacramento Metro Fire investigators say a bathroom exhaust fan somehow caught fire and spread flames into the attic.

Officials believe the damage totals about $15,000.
