CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Stockton Man Attacked In Front Of Family At Home

STOCKTON (CBS13) — A Stockton man is searching for answers after he says he was brutally beaten in front of his home as his wife and kids watched.

The attack was caught on the victim's home surveillance camera.

Aaron Rivera says there was a car blocking his driveway when he came home from work after a 16-hour day. The people inside claimed someone hit their car and they were apparently looking for the culprit.

"I asked the guys what's going on I don't know you guys, been here for twelve years," he said. "The expressions back were very angry and they became very aggressive towards me."

That's when Rivera says a second car pulled up and all six men and three women jumped him in front of his family.

"I was getting kicked and punched by four grown men, 3 grown women and within 6-7 seconds somehow I boosted myself back up," he said.

Rivera's two daughters, ages 11 and 15, were outside at the time and witnessed their dad being allegedly attacked.

"You don't come home from work. owning a home and having any violence but not just in the neighborhood but in front of your family and your four kids witness it all; their dad being punched and pummeled right after work," he said. "Just devastating for anybody to even see experience witness just the saddest thing we've ever been through."

Stockton Police were able to track down the suspects, but one of them claims Rivera approached them with a tire iron, and that's why he punched him.

Police say they haven't received the surveillance video from Rivera yet, but they have assigned two officers in the last year to the neighborhood.
