Kern County Sheriff's Deputy Arrested Twice In 2 Days
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) -- Kern County authorities say a sheriff's deputy arrested twice in two days could face a number of charges including public intoxication, spousal abuse and child cruelty.
Officials say Gideon Allday was first arrested Friday on suspicion of being intoxicated while on duty at a courthouse in Bakersfield.
KBAK-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1ZBLc7K) that shortly after Allday bailed out of jail, his neighbors called police Saturday to break up a fight at his home.
Allday was then arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse, drug possession, and willful cruelty to a child.
Sgt. Gary Carruesco said Allday's wife and daughter are both OK.
Allday was placed on paid administrative leave from the department following the first arrest.
It wasn't immediately known if he has a lawyer.
