Woman Found Not Guilty By Insanity In Sacramento Light Rail Shooting
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Sacramento jurors have found a woman not guilty by reason of insanity in the shooting of a man on a light-rail car in 2014.
The Sacramento Bee reports that 34-year-old Lynnsey Evakarla Braun was found guilty of second-degree murder last week in the death of 51-year-old Eric McCaster, but after the sanity phase of the trail jurors ruled she was legally insane at the time of the shooting.

Braun will likely be committed to a state hospital.
Police say an inebriated McCaster tried to talk to Braun and at one point dropped a bottle shaped like a pistol on the floor. Prosecutors say Braun ignored him until she pulled out a revolver and fired six shots at close range.
Braun told offers she was defending herself after McCaster displayed a gun.
