Person Of Interest In Deadly Discovery Park Assault Turns Himself In

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police say the person of interest in Sunday's Discovery Park death has turned himself in.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the two people seen in the photos released on Monday voluntarily showed up at police headquarters early Tuesday afternoon.

The two were interviewed by detectives and left.

The pair, who has been identified as boyfriend and girlfriend by Sacramento police Tuesday, is suspected of being involved in the fight that led to the death of Thomas Noble of Sacramento, on Sunday.

However, Sacramento Police Officer Matthew McPhail says "we are confident that the individuals that came to the station are in fact the people who were depicted in the photographs that were released Monday."

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Only when their investigation is complete will the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office decide on if any charges will be filed.

It's unclear whether the pair will be charged, but Officer McPhail says "we are not seeking any other outstanding persons in conjunction with this case."

The couple turned themselves in less than 24 hours after their photo was released by Sacramento Police. Investigators identified them as people of interest in the homicide which killed Thomas Noble of Sacramento on Sunday.
