Sacramento Man, 1-Year-Old Daughter Reported Missing

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A 23-year-old and his 1-year-old daughter are missing.

Family tells CBS13 he left Antioch heading back to Sacramento Sunday night, but never made it.

"He said, 'I'm on my way to Sacramento, I'm on my way home,' and he just has vanished," said Karla Jackson, Kyler's mother.

Kyler Jackson's family said he would not just disappear.

"I put them in the car, I kissed my kids goodbye, and I said I love you to him and that was it," said Jayonna Mason, Kaylee's mother.

Kyler Jackson picked up his daughter and drove back up to Sacramento and disappeared.

"The not knowing is causing me to lose my mind," she said and thinks something is definitely wrong.

"I just know that this is the road that he would've traveled and he didn't make it home. So did something happen along this stretch, along Twin Cities, along I-5?" she said.

It's a route her son is familiar with. He would take the Antioch bridge to 160 North through Locke to Interstate 5.

But along side that route is the Sacramento River and now they're fearing the worst.

"It just goes to voicemail, and it doesn't do that. He calls me. He tells me that they made it," said Mason.

The Coast Guard searched the river in case and police are investigating and interviewing family.

"He's got a whole lot to live for not just my daughter, but his daughter, my son, our kids. My kids look up to him, so he's not just about to disappear without a trace," she said while crying.

Those who know Kyler say he would at least be on social media and answering his phone, but so far they've heard nothing.

"He's not a child that will just wander off without calling someone. There's absolutely no way he would take his daughter to do any mischief," said Karla.

Kyler was last seen driving a silver sedan. If you have information, call Antioch Police.
