Family Concerned Police Aren't Doing Enough To Find Missing Man, Daughter

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Concerns are growing as the days pass and Kyler and his daughter Kaylee Jackson are still missing.

"Today hit me like a ton of bricks, I don't know where my son is. I don't know where my grandbaby is," said Karla Jackson, Kyler's mother.

Three days and still no sign of the two. Karla knows something is terribly wrong and wants more help from police.

Here are the steps investigators have taken so far.

Karla called Sacramento Police Monday but was told to file the missing persons report in Antioch where Kyler and Kaylee were last seen.

Police there took the initial report, CHP drove the route Kyler would've driven back to Sacramento. Even the coast guard combed the river that runs along Highway 160. But after two days, investigators exhausted all resources in the search and sent Sacramento Police the case.

Police checked three locations and say, at this point, they have license plate scanners around the city on alert, but nothing has come up.

"Good or bad, I have to make sure myself that they are OK any type of way. If I'm telling you all to search the water, two people on a boat is not enough," said Kaylee's mother Jayonna Jackson.

Kyler left Antioch Sunday night and told family members he was heading back to Sacramento, but never made it. Since then, a roller coaster of emotions for this family that said Kyler would never just leave them or his other 6-year-old daughter.

"I can't do this right now; I can't do this right now; I can't even," said Jayonna.

Their family is hoping someone knows something and calls the police.
