WATCH: Wheel Of Fortune Comes Down To Rare Tiebreaker

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — For the first time in a decade, Wheel of Fortune came down to a tiebreaker.

With $6,000 a letter on the line on the show's final puzzle, contestant Danielle came back from the depths, ending her shutout with a $24,000 puzzle solve, setting up a final showdown with contestant LaToya.

Fellow contestant Dylan was forced to stand and not participate in that final showdown. His meager $5,900 total only earned him an awkward handshake from host Pat Sajak, who couldn't be bothered to join the same airspace as Dylan with an exciting ending in sight.

The third wheel in this match instead was left in his cold, blue space to watch what happened next. By decree of decades of tradition on the game show, only one contestant could enter the final round. Rather than a fight to the death, Danielle and LaToya competed in one final puzzle.
