Thieves Hit Six Sacramento Homes In One Night

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Thieves targeted six homes in a South Sac neighborhood and residents believe the suspects were looking for a grow house.

"We looked around and we didn't see anything, but before we knew it 'Bam!' The whole garage was this way," Beatrice Bythwood said.

She and her daughter were startled out of bed around 4.a.m. Wednesday, but by the time they could see what happened and call the police, their gate lock was cut and garage door smashed.

"My gate was all the way open and they must've took off," she said.

Police believe Blythwood was the 4th house hit that morning because Linda Garcia was hit less than two hours before, the same way.

"Woke us up at 2 o'clock in the morning. The door was completely smashed in," Garcia said.

Police said six incidents were called in that morning with similar reports.

All six homes seemed vacant and Blythwood says they hit the wrong homes.

"They thought it was an empty house, so that's probably what they were looking for -- to see if there was any pot growing in the garage," Blythwood said.

Police told CBS13, the 911 calls stopped a few miles away on Lemon Hill and Logan just 30 minutes after Blythwood was hit.

A man saw something suspicious and honked at a black car with four men inside. Three of whom took off running and the driver intentionally rammed the man's car before fleeing himself.

"I hope somebody catches them, that's my prayer," Garcia said.

Here's the path the crooks allegedly hit:

First report on the 4800 block of T St. at 0011 hours.

Second report on the 10 block of Sumo Ct. at 0222 hours.

Third report on the 5700 block of Wilkinson St. at 0334 hours.

Fourth report on the 5600 block of 79th St. at 0341 hours.

Then a fifth report was an accident Lemon Hill Ave./Logan St. at 0416 hours. Police believe the suspects rammed a random victim's car.

Finally, the sixth burglary report was made on the 6100 block of Logan St. at 0432 hours

Police are looking for four suspects that were in the black Honda. You are urged to call police if you have any information.
