2 Sacramento Teens Killed By Woman Suspected Of Driving Drunk

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police say two teens were killed by a woman suspected of driving drunk in Sacramento Thursday evening.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. on Power Inn Road and 39th Avenue, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Officers got to the scene and found that a car had been broadsided by a pickup truck.

Two teens were trapped in a Toyota Camry. Rescue crews were able to get the teens out and performed CPR before transporting them to the hospital. Both later died from their injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle, a Ford Ranger, was also injured in the crash and had to be transported to the hospital. She has been identified as 23-year-old Taylor Spier. She has been booked into jail on felony DUI charges.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office identified the teens as Danial Lu and Perla Samantha Espinoza, both Sacramento residents.
