Body Of Missing Father Found In Georgiana Slough

ISLETON, Calif (CBS13) -- The Body of missing father, Kyler Jackson has been found according to Sacramento Sheriff's Spokesman Tony Turnbull.

The body was found in the Georgiana Slough, a remote area of Sacramento County.

Karla Jackson, the mother of Kyler, called Sacramento Police Monday, but was told to file the missing persons report in Antioch where Kyler and daughter Kaylee were last seen.

Police there took the initial report, CHP drove the route Kyler would've driven back to Sacramento. Even the coast guard combed the river that runs along 160.

But after two days, investigators exhausted all resources in the search and sent Sacramento Police the case.  The family of Jackson pushed for more resources but said that enough wasn't being done to find Kyler and Kylee.  Kyler left Antioch Sunday night and told family he was heading back to Sacramento, but never made it.

No word yet on the location of young Kylee Jackson.  The search was suspended around 10:30 Saturday night and is expected to resume sometime Sunday morning.
