Girl, 17, Turns Herself In After Fatal Hit-And-Run In West Sacramento

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police say a 17-year-old girl has turned herself in after a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in West Sacramento.

The incident happened Wednesday night near West Capitol Avenue and Walnut Street around 9 p.m.

West Sacramento Police say a man was hit by a gray minivan. The man was transported to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Thursday, police announced that a 17-year-old West Sacramento girl had turned herself in. She is reportedly cooperating and will be booked at Yolo County Juvenile Detention Center.

The girl's identity has not been released due to her age.
