Retired Firefighter Dies At Clear Lake, 3rd Death In Weeks
GLENHAVEN, Calif. (AP) - The body of a retired Petaluma firefighter has been recovered from Clear Lake, marking the third death at the lake in two weeks.
Lake County sheriff's deputies recovered the body of 59-year-old Mike Haberski on Saturday. Haberski went missing after going sailing alone on Tuesday.
The presumed drowning follows the death of a 69-year-old Kelseyville man who also is believed to have drowned while swimming last week and a 74-year-old San Jose man who died a week earlier in a boating accident.
Sgt. Andy Davidson says the recent deaths are the first on Clear Lake in three years.
