North Sacramento Shooting Victim Dies

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- The Sacramento Police Department reports that the victim of a shooting that occurred  Saturday evening on De Witt Court has succumbed to their injuries, making the case a homicide.

Police say the victim who was shot is an adult male in his 30's. He was taken to a Sacramento-area hospital with major injuries, and was listed in serious condition Saturday night.

This investigation continues to be ongoing and a specific motive is still not yet known.  While no arrests have been made at this time, investigators believe there is no immediate threat to the neighborhood. The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner's office.
