Sacramento Man Jumps Into Pool Filled With Coke And Pepsi

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A Sacramento man conducted a sweet, sticky experiment at his home.

The local YouTuber posted this online a week ago today and the video now has nearly 24 million views!

"I want to show you guys something crazy today…we got Mentos, we got ice, we got a drone – we got the whole package," said Taras Maksimuk.

The pool is filled with about 1,500 gallons of Coca-Cola. He admits there's a little Pepsi in here, too.

"This was epic! After weeks of buying thousands of Coke bottles and many more hours of opening and pouring, the magnificent Coca-Cola pool was created," Maksimuk wrote on his YouTube page.

Maksimuk says that after days of emptying the pool, the yard still smells weird.

His stunt reminded us of the pool of noodles scene on "Patch Adams" in which an elderly woman's dream to swim in a pool of cooked noodles is granted by Adams, who's played by the late comedian Robin Williams.
