San Bernardino Deputy Accused Of Having Sex With Inmates
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) -- San Bernardino County sheriff's officials say a 24-year-old deputy has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with female inmates.
The Sun newspaper reports the department began investigating Brian Derryberry on July 1.
Investigators determined he had sexual contact with "numerous" women who were held at Morongo Jail.
Derryberry was arrested Friday. He could face several charges, including sexual activity with a confined consenting adult. Officials didn't say if he has an attorney.
Derryberry had been a deputy since 2014 and was assigned to the Morongo Station. Officials say he is no longer employed by the department.
