City Funding At Risk After Construction Delays For New West Sacramento Venue
WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Construction on a West Sacramento outdoor venue is behind schedule and in danger of default.
Developers broke ground on the unique riverfront structure called "The Barn" in March of 2015, saying they wanted to open up a restaurant and beer garden in the space.
It was supposed to be finished by this September, but now developers say they won't meet that deadline and they now risk losing more than two-million dollars in city funding.
West Sacramento city leaders will consider now extending the deadline until next July.
