Teen Dead After Shooting In Fairfield, 16-Year-Old Suspect Arrested

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager dead in Fairfield late Sunday night.

The scene was on North Texas Street.

Officers responded to the scene just after 10 p.m. and found that a teen boy had been shot. He was taken to the hospital but later died from his wounds.

Investigators say the victim, identified as a 16-year-old Fairfield resident, and suspect knew each other and had some sort of argument just before the shooting.

The suspect, only identified as a 16-year-old boy, was arrested just after 5 a.m. Monday by a SWAT team along the 2000 block of Bristol Lane.

Fairfield police are still investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information relevant to the case to call detectives at (707) 428-7600.
