With UFC 202 just 12 days away, all focus has been on one man. Conor McGregor seems to be back to his old antics and unprecedented trash-talking. Since losing for the first time in the UFC to Nate Diaz, many wondered if "The Notorious" one would return quietly and humbled.
Not a chance.
McGregor and Diaz took part in the UFC 202 Conference Call on August 5th and unsurprisingly, it did not take long for McGregor to start commenting on other fighters.
However, this time he focused on the WWE roster instead of the UFC. According to MMA Junkie, McGregor ripped on WWE athletes saying,
"I think these guys are (expletives) to be honest. They're messed up (expletives) if you ask me. Fair play to Brock, he got in and fought, but at the end of the day he was juiced up to the (expletive) eyeballs, how can I respect that?"
After receiving a fair amount of backlash, McGregor issued an apology to WWE fans on Twitter... Sort of.
Needless to say, it didn't take long for WWE stars to fire back to the Irish fighter. Here are a few of our favorite reactions:
