Southwest Debuts New Direct Sacramento To Baltimore Flight
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramentans will now have another direct link to the East Coast as of Monday morning.
Passengers celebrated with cake and cupcakes as they boarded the inaugural direct flight from Sacramento to Baltimore.
Officials say the flight is 90 percent full – so it's a good indication to the airline that there's a need for this.
The plane for Monday is called "Maryland 1" and is painted specifically for the state.
It's one of 15 planes southwest has dedicated to specific cities or states.
