Car Slams Into Crowd At Outdoor Concert In Ohio, Injuring Nine

PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — A car has slammed into a crowd at an outdoor concert in Ohio injuring nine people, two of them seriously.

It happened Sunday night in Parma Heights, about 10 miles south of Cleveland.

Police say a 74-year-old woman who was leaving the community concert accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake as she was pulling out of her parking space. Police say she then drove onto a small dance floor in the parking lot at the concert and crashed into a crowd.

Six people were taken to area hospitals, two of them with serious injuries. Three others were treated at the scene.

Charges have not been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
