Rookie Recap: Willie Cauley-Stein's Top 10 Plays
With the Olympics over, Summer league far behind us and nearly two months away from the NBA preseason, Sacramento Kings fans need a refreshing dose of basketball during the dry spell.
After a 33-49 season in 2015-16, there were more negative storylines than positive ones coming out of Sacramento. One bright spot, was first-round draft pick rookie center Willie Cauley-Stein.
The 7-foot-tall center ended up playing in 66 games last year, starting in 39 of those. While Cauley-Stein's seven points and five rebounds a game don't look impressive, he did it in just 21 minutes per game. Average that out to 36 minutes and he's almost getting a double-double per game (11.8 points, 9 rebounds). His performance last year did not go unnoticed - he was named to the NBA's 2015-16 All-Rookie second team.
Check out the video above to see his best plays of his rookie season.
