BUCK MEADOWS (CBS13) – One of the German tourists rescued after a crashing during a visit to Yosemite National Park has died.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday that 57-year-old Maria Fissman succumbed to her injures. She, along with 63-year-old Monika Shmidt and 16-year-old Reiki Regel, were in an SUV that crashed after a visit to Yosemite.

The trio was a part of a group of tourists from Germany who visited Yosemite on Monday. A search began after the trio didn't show up for a planned dinner rendezvous in Groveland.

Tuesday afternoon, the trio's crashed SUV was found about a half mile east of Buck Meadows.

Shmidt and Regel's conditions are unclear.
